Happy Thanksgiving Greetings Family and Friends,         "The most wonderful places to be in the world are: In someone's thoughts, in someone's prayers, and in someone's heart." Two weeks ago a friend posted this quote on Facebook and when I read it I thought of how much we long for this to be true, especially when we are miles away from friends and family. But the component most important for us is that we are in your prayers. Your prayers were much appreciated last month as it was a difficult month. Cindy's sister-in-law, Barb Harlos, passed away on October 22nd after a short illness. Our son Nathan was in a car accident; but praise the Lord he was not injured. Cindy went through a few weeks of a root canal but it resulted in an extraction of the tooth piece by piece. We also spent the entire month working on visa paperwork and getting our identity cards. Praise the Lord, we are finally finished with all paperwork for residency for another ten years. Yet going through all this, we know that we are not the only family going through hardships; which is why we as God's children should be sharing with one another, lifting one another's prayers and praises to our Lord.         We want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your faithful prayers, not only for the ministry here in Ecuador, but also for our family and for our physical, spiritual and emotional needs. You are a blessing to us!We have some very special praises to share with you this month: ❖ The new Bible study in Guayllabamba is going very well. The four ladies are faithful to attend each Tuesday afternoon. The mother, Lita, and her three daughters, Gloria, Maria and Naya, are always anxious to receive us into their humble home. Two weeks ago, all four of the ladies received the Lord as their Savior. It is such a joy to see them soak up the teachings of the Word of God. They have also begun to invite friends and neighbors to the study. Mariana came last week and is interested in coming regularly. ❖ A new Bible study started in Chambo three weeks ago with the Reino family - Angel, Inez and their two children. Angel is disabled, bound to a wheelchair, so cannot work. His wife Inez loads bricks onto trucks. This family needs to know the Lord. Praise the Lord for the opportunity to study the Word of God with them. Pray that God will open their hearts to receive Him. ❖ Praise the Lord that the Bible Institute students finished their third book of New Testament Survey. They will be given a short recess, and start back up in January. The men will be studying Homiletics with Dave, as the women do a book study with Cindy. Praise the Lord for their faithfulness in attending classes. ❖ Praise the Lord for the Bible studies that continue on Monday nights with two families - the Maldonados, and Jose and Fany with their three children. We are grateful for the men from our church that help us with these studies, because we cannot be in two places at one time. So we rotate, making sure we can visit with each family as much as possible. ❖ Always thankful for God's daily protection and provision for our family. God is good all the time! We want to share with you that Daniel and Melissa and Tim have been accepted by Landmark Baptist Mission as missionaries to the country of Ecuador. Pray for them as they begin deputation that God will open up doors for opportunities to share their ministry and that God will provide for their support. Praise the Lord that He takes care of Lori, Hannah and Nathan as well. And of course, our precious grandchildren Lauren, Caleb and Noah.

Thank you again for keeping the Jenkins Family in your thoughts and prayers. We love you and appreciate you so much. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Psalm 100 - "O give thanks to the Lord."

Together in the King's Service, Dave and Cindy
